Why should I have my backflow preventer tested?

Backflow prevention is critical to ensure that public water supplies are not contaminated by anything other than potable water.  It may feel like an inconvience at times, but having the correct backflow prevention assembly that is properly tested annually ensures that your public water supply remains safe for you and your neighbors!

For commercial businesses, it is required by the Arkansas Department of Health that all backflow preventer assemblies are tested annually by a licensed tester.  This is enforced by the water purveyor.

Depending on your water system, it may also be required that residential backflow preventer assemblies be tested annually.
